Stumbled upon this and I really wanted to share and keep a copy of it here. Cos its one of the most amazing takes on love I've ever read, other than the one in the Bible.

Been up to many things recently and I`ve been wanting to post up pics of my mountain climbing trip with my research lab ppl. But fate has it that I`ve been swamped with stuff to do. Lots of stuff and i just keep going and going and taking breaks to cool off and going at it again.

Kinda hit a rut today and my body just says `No more` and im like `Come on, you`ve stuff to hand in tomorrow` and it goes `blah......`

and this goes on and on and I go online to read motivational stuff to get going and I daydream of living in a beach side hut doing nothing but paint and play all day and listen to Jack Johnson.

and finally it all clicks and I realize how lucky i am to be here doing this. How many people can say they have a full scholarship, in a first world country, getting a degree. I mean i have freedom to do anything and everything i want to and that is more than enough for me.

Lesson learned today is to never have anything get in the way of you remembering to always give thanks. Give thanks for the gifts that are bestowed on you. Every single little thing is a gem. Always, always give thanks every single day. Never forget.

Hi there readers, if there are any left that is. It has been awhile since I last wrote in here. Been busy with stuff, life, and to be honest with you, I went through an all time low sometime last year and that made me stop writing here. Simply because I could not do it at all. Was basically wrung dry and all the creative juices stopped flowing.

Anyway, that was last year. A long long time ago. And since then I did so many things, learned so many things and I practically feel like a new person inside now. Funny thing is, everything around me is still almost the same. Sometimes I look around in amazement because I don`t relate to things that I used to hold true.

I guess the credit goes to my amazing trip to Europe with Joann, starting my new part-time job as an English teacher and moving on to fourth year in university. Little changes here and there might not seem like much, but they actually make a world of difference. Going to Britain and Paris has helped to open my eyes to the world in a subtle yet profound way. Everyone knows that traveling and journeying is one of the best ways to enrich oneself but, I am always struck by the magnitude of it all on each and every voyage.

And working as an English teacher has got to be the best thing that ever happened to me in Japan. Haha....sometimes I feel kind of guilty because its easy money. So easy and so enjoyable are my lessons that I don`t think of it as work but as having fun chatting with people. And the staff there are all so interesting to talk to. Its like a mini English/Japanese cultural experience every time I pop by.

And fourth year in uni is kinda fun, less classes and more on research lab stuff plus design stuff im working on. Its totally more cool.

I seriously thank the high heavens and the universe for everything that has and will come to be. I think through all the journeying that I have done, I am finally more at peace with myself and with life and I think that I am inching closer to my answer as the days pass by. So grateful and at peace. I just hope everyone gets it too, eventually.

Anyways, since I`ve got my groove on, I will be posting up more stuff in the days to come.

Searching. Forever searching. That`s what we do. We are forever searching for that one thing that will make us happy, that completes us, that makes our life worthwhile. Some people find it in family, some in love, some in money... the list are endless. And when we get it, what happens? Does everyone stay forever happy with that one thing? If they don`t, do they try to make it work or abandon it in search of something else?

The circle of life. The wheel that is ever turning, never stopping. Over and over and over again.

Im taking a spiritual view nowadays. This circle of suffering it must be no more. The middle way seems best. Has always been and always will be. It has always been calling out to me-the other path, the one less trodden. I`ve always felt like a lone boat out at sea. Hardly anyone seems to be tunning into the same radio frequency. When they are, I thank the high heavens; when they are none, I sail on. It is no wonder that I turn to books or other pursuits to find amusement.

And when I chance on a jem like "Eat,Pray,Love" , I feel as if I`ve found a new best friend. The one that knows just what Im talking about and even better, have gone through it all to tell me her story. Her love and wars, won and lost. People she has met, lessons she gained. They are like little pockets of wisdom. And as I nod, and nod, grin, laugh and smirk through it all, I find that Im just that more determined, that more ready to start the ball rolling.

Of adventures and traveling, people and their stories, food and culture...the marvels are endless. And can only happen when you start an action, throw a rock, buy a ticket. Why not then Joyce, I questioned myself? Ah....and in reply, I hear words and whispers by 'others'

"The path less trodden is one of suffering." *came wif a knowing admonishing look*

and still I hear it. Why not then, why not?

Aichi Triennale 2010

Went to Aichi Triennale with MayC! Its an art fest of sorts, with artist from all over the world showing. Happy, happy,happy to get a dose of color and ideas :DDDDDDD

First stop is the Aichi Prefectural Museum of Art. See the green tubing thing....its one of the installations. Its connected here and there. I like how it interacts with the building and makes the place more fun. Challenges the concept of how we view space.

Installation by Yayoi Kusama is one of the main reasons why I want to go! She is obsess with dots and repetition.

The work below is done by a China artist titled Day and Night. Its really really nice lor. Looks like fairies dancing on the walls with all the gold and purple strokes. And since its so long, its like a never ending picture. Surreal. The best part would be a video showing how its all made. And guess how it was done! By burning up gunpowder stuff!!!! So cool can.

Next is all these wooden animals everywhere in a white maze. Simple and interesting the placement of ze animals were spot on too. Super keng is transporting all these stuff and setting it up. All the thought put into these exhibits brings me to tears. These artist are a dedicated bunch.

And this!!! Muahaha......gave MayC the bejeebers! Its done by a Malaysian artist currently based in Taiwan. From Kuching too! Haha.

Cannot take pic cos its like a short film thing, so I shall try to explain it cos its way cool! Basically, we walk into this darkened room. Everything is dark, cannot even see where to step, so you sort of extend your hand and walk on. On the left you see white figures sitting, watching something. A bit scary edi, cos don't know if they are real humans or figurines. So walk closer to investigate. Wah, lucky, humans watching a film. Phew....so we move into the enclosed space and watch the film. Since all the seats were taken, we had to stand. Film starts of with a scene in the cinema with red seats. The whole place is empty except for a chinese lady and an indian guy. She is eating apples and after each bite offers it to the indian guy sitting behind her. This continues for a long time. Weird and we still don't know what this film means. Some ppl left then so we sat down on the red seats provided and tried to understand this film.

Then comes the next scene, a chinese uncle is smoking while sitting in the red cinema chairs.Beside him is a little boy who is eating a snack. This continues for a while and the scene changed to show the same uncle and boy filmed from the front. But now there is a grandmother on the uncles side and a picture of the deceased grandfather on the little boys side. By now, MayC and I were the only ones sitting on the red seats and suddenly it all came to me.

Me: MayC, I think I get it edi. Do you get it?

MayC: Yeeerrr....dun say!!! *grabs my arm*

Me: Nonono, I think its something like Inception. We are watching ppl who most probably are watching others.

And then the ppl in the film started to fade away......so we freaked and ran. Hahaha....

So do you get it?

This is another cool one. Its a L-shaped corridor with a 45 degrees mirror so ppl can say "Hi!" and wave at other ppl on the other end :D Its tiny too with lots of doors, so it has a Alice in Wonderland feel to it :)))

There were many other great works, but sadly most of them cannot take pics one T_T Even the ones I have here, mostly I curi-curi take one. Haha.....so too bad. Cannot share la. Cos too many I will kaput anyway :P Interested then go c urself la :D It runs till 31st of October.

Next is Domatsuri! Super keng we went without knowing there was a matsuri happening! Lots of dancing, food stalls, ppl, kids, parade.....gotta love the energy!

M.I.C.K.E.Y M.O.U.S.E !!! I know its all about the advertising. Happyest place on earth? Pah! But when the song got blasted out into the air, my hands are clapping, Im singing along to the cheesiest song and I don't care. The world is beautiful again and birds are flying in the air.

Thinking, soooooooooo much thinking the past two weeks plus. Thinking bout the future, humankind, the world, myself, what I've been doing, what Im going to do. But mainly, I've been thinking about "The meaning of life". Yeah, I know. The ever big question. Don't know why, all this stuff nags me, eats at my very soul. Haha.....

I guess I sort of lost myself when I was super busy/tired doing all the assignments and uni stuff. Got disillusioned. So I do what I do best in dire times like this, get holed up facing four walls and locking the doors to get down to it.

Exploring ones mind is a fascinating thing indeed. It takes you on strange journeys and dark places. You get faced with the past you love and hate, truths about yourself you don't want to accept and the issues surrounding mortality. Not to mention the ever feared Future. So according to mainstream psychology, which is mostly based on Freud, we can try to solve all this psychosis by dwelling deeper to try to understand it. That`s what I've been trying to do for soooooo long. And I happen to chance on this book by Viktor E. Frankl, titled "Man's search for meaning" and it super answered my questions and some others. Deftly ignoring Freud too. Epic, its about time too. The man is so keng. Nazi death camp survivor and all, I don't think anyone can ever fathom the horrors they faced. And to come out of it alive. Respect! And cos he recommended reading Plato's Republic, I am. Just hope can finish it la. Hahaha....

Weird la. This kind of thing just loves happening onto me. Loosing balance, not knowing whats real anymore. And I can't help but to think a lot. But I think its good, all the emo-ing. Cos in the end, I always find the compass that points north again. Just hope I don't loose it to soon :D

Somehow, in the end, it always ends up in choosing from idealistic thinking and cold hard reality. And up till now I have always chosen to walk the line. Its hard, but what isn't. And if it feels right, that's where I stand. So its just great now that everything, well almost everything is crystal clear again. I know which road to take and its the one least taken. Muahahaha....

Feels great to be back again :D

On another note, I think I just rediscovered friendship and putting more trust in it again. You know like how in primary school, we sign albums before we graduate and everyone loves to write "Friendship Forever". Well, I never believed it. Haha.....call me a pessimist. But I've transfered to soooooo many schools and I knew even then that nothing is forever. But you know, it all boils down to reaching out and getting in touch. Near and far, old and new, they are but a click away. Its down to priorities, I don't think it will ever go all the way, but it's in a higher rung now. Got to thank all the Toyohashi ppl and PPKTJ-nians and all the ppl I've ever known. Its good to have friends all around. Big shout out " I LOVE YOU ALL!"

A dose of innocence...

Childhood innocence and happy thinking. The carefree days and lightheartedness. The positive thoughts and heartfelt sharing. Lots of FUN and lots of sun. All the warm and fuzzy yummy things get lost as we venture from childhood into adulthood. Deadlines and fear of the future drive us and we begin to lose notice of all the little things that matters most. So take time out of your daily routine. Take time to breathe and be that little person that is still in you. Yes, there is still hope for you. Its just covered in dust and grime from years of neglect. So dust out the corners and embrace that little person you used to know.

Btw, watercolour does not make the postcard curl that bad :D It sticks and dries out perfect. Doesn't really smudge too. Is happy :)

Filling up all these postcards seemed like such a challenging task at first. Now they seem to fill up quite fast when the mood strikes. They are like snippets of my random thoughts and a bit far from what I envisioned them to be. I think I should make em more picturesque. Gonna try watercolor on em. Hope it sticks and does not make the paper curl.

Self imposed isolation...

... is really good. You know, like how writers like to go somewhere, anywhere, far from everyone else they know and cut all connections to the world to write their book. I finally really understand that concept after experiencing it. It really helps to still the mind and clear out unwanted distractions for new thoughts and ideas.

There's (I think) basically 3 stages to this whole thing (But its still debatable). First, your brain runs on wheels, churning thoughts after thoughts after mindless thoughts until you have exhausted all possible current information to feed it and you have become accustomed to the surroundings you are holed up in. Then, comes the process of re accessing everything you thought real and producing new realities. Then comes the process of materializing it all out into this reality. The final stage is when one ventures out into the real world again and realizes that more adjustments are needed to complement the new realities that has been developed.

Inspired by The Sketchbook Project. A project whereby you sign up for a moleskin sketchbook, fill up all the pages and then mail it back to the good ppl, who will put it on tour. Yup, it be like a art/book tour of sketchbooks and can even be borrowed like a library book. So cool. Imagine a collection of sketchbooks by ppl from all over converging in one place. Its like a an orgy of artistic realities.

Super tempted to join, but I worry that I never finish it. Cos I'm plagued by this disease you see. I get all hyped up about an idea and I hop on the bandwagon before you can even say GO! and after I explore the whole nine yard to see where it takes me, the buzz fades and another project gets slammed into the crevices of garbageland.

So here is yet another one of my brilliant plans! I got 50 pieces of postcards and shall fill it up until its all gone. Time limit is this entire Summer holiday, so until the end of September I have to get it all done. 50 pieces in 54 days.What will I do with them after its all done? I shall send them all out, leave them lying in public places, mailing them to ppl... Postcards lead a secret life of their own. They need to be seen to live. Maybe in the mail, getting molested by postman and stuff. Who am I to keep them from their ultimate destiny.

I'm here.Not there or anywhere, so here is where my thoughts should be.

Taking break from studying for exams, went to park to ride.

There was this moment as I was riding that the sounds from the trumpet this guy was playing mingled so well with the flock of birds flying by above the pine trees.It was like the scene in Laputa, Castle in the sky. What a beautiful moment. And it was just that, a moment that lasted for seconds, and yet it was amazing.

Life is made of lots of moments, sections of time. Some are mundane, some we don't even realize as we go through the motions, but its the wonderful moments that we remember. May we always remember and appreciate those moments.

Today is a Happy day! :D

That's right. Its a super duper happylicious day! And I am smiling uncontrollably :D In fact I have to exert some restrain to prevent my facial muscles from hurting.Haha....such good days are hard to come by. And thus, I feel this insatiable urge to write it down for much needed encouragement when I turn into a wreck again :D

Why am I so happy? Simple. Got 3 reports done. Passed up. Conducted experiment today and for the first time ever its a competition experiment.Haha....got into 3 groups to design and create a model house. The house that has the lowest temperature score after being blasted with insane heat from halogen lamps wins the race.And guess who's team won! Haha....mine. Victory is sweet man. And we even got prizes for it. Kinda feel bad for the other teams cos we only got the details of the house done today when the other teams got their plan all drawn up already.With measurements and everything. It just goes to show that The Idea behind a concept is so very important in design. The execution might be flawless, but the concept is the stronghold that makes the whole design solid and that is everything. The rest is just money, effort and lots and lots of time. But of course presentation is very important also la. Gosh, learning much huh :D

Neways, industrious day! Love it. So much better than days of moodily reflections. But its all about the balance. The give and take. The journey. The realization, sharing, positiveness and appreciation.

Also also, very happy cos of lots of talk, lots of love and lots of warmth all around. Managing another breakthrough in confessions as the level keeps getting higher and higher is really just the cherry on top of the humongous rainbow colored cake decorated with McD fries around the side that is today.Oh, and it has lines of miniature red roses on the second tier and a sugar icing posies on top :D

I've just come to realize something that I've wanted to voice out in a long long time, but never knew what to say or make of this feeling.

I finally know now why I am how the way I am.Simply said, I don't want to walk the line.The line everyone gets forced into from early birth,duped into thinking that this is the way things are, cheated into it by lines and lines of predecessors who did the exact same thing.The rat race we all run,in hopes of achieving higher social-economical status? Sure there will be some who strike a moment of eureka and wanted to rock the boat, but they eventually get pulled down by reality again. Friends and loved ones who cannot understand, pressures of carving out a living, self-doubt.Many factors come to play, and the race is on again. What is the reality of this existence? Who is it who set the rules the majority runs by? Ultimately, what do we really want from life. And dare we kindle a fire that shall set our lives ablaze.

Living of the grid, boycotting mass production, going back to the old days of wilderness seems like a novel idea.Can it really be done in an age where we are over independent on technology?I sometimes feel that the little people should join forces and combat the greed and control of the powers that be.But then again, everyone wants a comfy life.Life as it is is hard enough without bothering much about the major issues. As long as prices are down, and the living is good, nobody really cares.

Is it too much to ask? To just pack up and leave.To discover the world and through that who I shall be.

えびマヨー!!!

Haha...had yummy dinner just now. So want to make ppl jealous...nolar nolar, im not that evil. Its just there's this Taiwanese restaurant here that makes the best chinese food and their yummiest dish is えびマヨー（Mayonnaise slathered prawn) that's super goooooooooooood. It's so good that we count the prawns beforehand so nobody tries to eat more. HA.....imagine that. And I have a pic of it in my hp. Haha...cos I was swooning over it the first time I ate it :D

So today is my first try in trying to recreate this dish. And its not too bad. Just needs a bit more tweaking.But i doubt i can ever reach the awesomeness that is the real deal.

and since Im on the subject of food...here's Joann's famous Shepherds Pie! I finally ate it :D and its super yums! Everyone must try to trick her into cooking it. Its really good :D Thanks Boann <3

Honesty is the best policy. So some say, but is it true all the time?Sometimes it is perhaps better to apply a little restraint. Least not unwanted accidents happen.So it is best to do as Moody says and to always remain in a state of constant vigilance!Sure sometimes we tired of it and commit errs and blunders.Or sometimes the subconscious tries to take a hand in things, or rebellion kicks in, or a myriad of little things can be the cause.But at the end of the day, it can all be tidied up nicely.The most important thing is to always keep an open mind and to rise above all the challenges the universe likes to hurl around.

Good company is like old wine.Why?Because, one, they are extremely rare. Two, they take time to age. It requires all the right conditions, the proper ingredients, occasional pokes and prodding here and there, lots of patience and lots of heart.But when its right its right. It'll warm you to your toes and keep your head spinning long after.

I am so grateful and as always humbled by how life takes its course. Sometimes you get thrown a low ball, or maybe a high ball. But always, always, you can expect the unexpected. There might be long droughts whereby you hunger and thirst, drop drowning in a deep black hole or get dazed in a sea of white mist. But you can always look forward to bright sunshiny days, with puffy clouds and long stalks of dancing grass, and literally,literally hear music in the air as fat fluffy birds fly overhead and you can't help but feel a dance in your step as you step forward into your next great adventure.

Sometimes,I close my eyes. I turn away. Because I don't want to see. There are times when it's more than what I am willing to see, or sometimes there are just things that are meant to stay hidden. So I close my eyes. Because I wonder who gave us the power to judge. To decide. On what basis do we act on what we see. Is it always right? No. But it is not going to be always wrong either. So what should one do? To open our eyes to all stimuli or do we pick and choose? Or do we strive to be the all seeing and all knowing but not all action? Tough one. I know. But its just not right to forsake it all either.

And another question of the day. "Who was it who made you who you are?" Superbly love it. If you can answer this. I guarantee you will resolve most if not all your traumas.So take a walk down memory lane and map out your history. After all, without resolving past traumas and moving on, how can we grow and look to the future when we are still stuck in the past.

Internet...

I finally got it yesterday.Most ppl find me crazy for not caring for so long. But I find that I get more things done without its enticing filaments ensnaring my attentions. Imagine how ppl entertained themselves when there was no Internet. Life was just more wholesome then. Its good to have periods whereby we are able to partake in those kinds of enjoyments.

Always happens. And it is, again. Wondering who I should be, what I should do, paths to take, choices, decisions, conclusions. Yes. Its that time of the year again. And I wonder.

Busy...

With many things to do. Not knowing which I should do first. Follow the order of importance, due date, or interest? I always find it hard to decide. Haha... but as my id is very strong, or so I like to think, I eventually give in to the latter.

Super long time since I`ve been blogging. Did not have the luxury nor the desire to to so for a long time. Wonder if I should continue writing here, but im here now so how? Seems a waste to let it go and its a good outlet. Always has been. But all the words and letters on the screen is just so irritating. Months of void to be filled. The past seems a mundane vapid life when reread.

Been at two minds bout lots of things recently. I wonder what it means? Moving to a new place does indeed free one of past restrictions and ways of thinking. Strands of thoughts seem to weave in new directions and form new patterns. Glad for it. Change is ever so welcome in my life.

But I`ve been detecting changes that are somewhat discomforting. Can`t decide on it yet and im wondering if it needs to be kicked out. What to do, what to do. I`ll just let it sit and see.

Yeah, its that time of year again.... when there`s lots of excuses to go shopping for new clothing, food and drinks and anything you want....muahahaha. With lots of red red and more red. Red decorations all over the house, red baju to wear, red ang pau to recieve, red lion dance troupe, red fireworks......

Huhuhu.....but all that seems so far away. Cos im stuck here in Japan, facing exams next two weeks, so ...... studying lor this CNY. Fact of life and used to it already. But you know, there`s still this longing to celebrate. Haha.... so..... i do little things to remind me of the tradition that im so used to and love to bits. Like buying kam and placing it next to my lone CNY card to "decorate" my room, cleaning room, wearing new baju tomorrow, cooking wif kohai`s (we is making shark fin soup-but instant one lar) :DDD

Ok la. Not too shabby. Haha..... then come march and I can fly back home to meet my family <3

On being ladies and gentleman

Liz and Jack went out to dinner at a very chic restaurant. As they sat down at the table, Jack immediately moved the candle from the center of the setting to the side of the table. Liz looked at him kinda funny, not understanding why he did that but, not really caring either. Later, however, when Liz reached across the table to steal some of Jack's food (as she always does), she realized he moved the candle so her sleeve wouldn't catch fire when she reached across the table. Jack's manner and grace were so attuned to her as a friend, that he knew her moves before she did. That tiny gesture ended up becoming the pivotal moment of the episode and changed the course of their business relationship.

I'm telling you guys again, women notice the small stuff. They notice the gentleness/gentlemenliness more than if you use the right fork at dinner. I'm a very lucky man, Garance notices every little kindness I offer her, she doesn't miss a thing. Knowing that makes it so much more rewarding to do even more little things for her. I'll be honest, my biggest obsession in life right now is not better shoes, more suits or a bigger career but, to simply be a more graceful man for my graceful woman.

This is a part of The Sartorialist post that I saw today. And as I read it I went "Yes, here's a guy that gets it!" Its all about the manners. It does not matter what kind of relationship we are talking about here, manners are super important in all our interactions with other people. Be it our friends, family, or the shop keeper. A dusting of P's and Q's goes a long way. I find its like a dying art form. Most people hardly bother anymore. I am not saying that I am the most polite person around. In fact, I am quite ashamed to own up to some of my past transgressions. But I do try. I feel its an important part of what being human means.

Went to our Japanese teacher's place on ze 4th for new years.
Selamat sampai. And we flip through teachers photo album and yamcha as she prepares good grub. Muahaha....

Konbu-cha and super nice okashi that taste like super high class angkukueh. Super nice. I take back what i said bout konbu-cha before. Haha.....
Ppl grabbing chance to dating. Haha....Osecchi ryori. Super hungry....so only took shots after. Hahaha.....

Turkey!!! Teacher is super the keng. Her turkey is good man. Tender and taste real natural. I prefer it prepared with herbs, but this is a good change.Teachers husband carving the turkey. He is super the dignified man. Smart,collect,pensive. Sasugani ex-shindai prof.

3rd course. This time its a famous German dish. Unfortunately, I forgot the name. Teacher went there to stay while her husband was there. So she cooks this real well. She is so the Europeanized i so love her. Anyone who has a collection of bonechina tea cups earn lots of brownie points in my book ;DDD

Christmas and NYr's in Namba!

Cannot imagine how I managed to spend 4 whole days in this area without going crazy.

Christmas Day
Went to Namba Parks to checkout the architecture. We were so super the keng. Walked all the way there from Shinimamiya without a map or anything. That was close to 40mins walk cos we sort of got lost. Hahaha...... And we even when into a hotel to take the view from above. Oooliawness is us.
This building was inspired by the grand canyon. So it looks like one. Totally love this curvey edifice and its ton of foliage.
So cute.
Aww.... shucks. Gonna miss em when im gone.
This is super the DELICIOUS !! Pls go and try when you're nearby. Its not that expensive and makes a good lunch :D I got the Volcano bagel crust and as you can see, it has cheeze... baked Cheeze!!! on top. Total yummy-licious-ness.
FINALLY ! Ate ramen at the open air seating red stall place down the road from the Kani.Its yummy man. And you can add as much kimchi and spicy leek thingy and garlic and black pepper. Word of advice, dun be greedy and add too much....cos it burns!

Dun think I've ever seen two guys so happy hamsap-ing each other :PAh.....ze group of sad ppl who hangout in cafe for coffee, wireless and gossip. Somehow, I dunno how, I think I got indoctrinated into this secular sect.
Met Zaza after 2 yrs!! Can't believe it was that long. And real happy that we could just fall back into conversation and shopping as if it was just yesterday. I guess some bonds just never die :D

1st pierce. Have always wanted em. Not the normal ones at the earlobes mind you. So cliche, doesn't work for me. Soooo.......after always thinking too much before I do anything, and eventually never doing it. Im kicking away this skeleton in my closet this new year, embracing my new side, and hopefully, this will be a reminder to me forever and evermore to always go all out for something I truly want.

M'sian Ski trip - Nozawa

Ski trip from 26-29 Dis.
Took night bus on 26 nite, terhumban keluar into the freezing cold in the middle of nowhere in the wee hours of the morning of 27, tracked to our ryokan, got stuffed into small rooms and waited real long to get our ski gear. Hardcore man. But I is loving it.

Had an urge to do stg wif oil pastels. Super the hisashiburi. Like so totally used it so much back in secondary sch. The creamy texture, bits of it flaking everywhere, smudgeing it into the paper, scraping it off with ruler when applied to thick and hastly repairing the damage.Haha....it was a love hate relationship. Mostly hate thought. Cos I always felt that the results were too solid and fake looking. Cos was always told to color everything, no blanks. Actually not told, it was expected of you. Super the tiring to cover the whole background....and does not look natural. Ya I know, should mix more colors then ok rite, layer upon layer. But I didn't know that last time. And the stigma bout oil pastels for beginners. Geez, so not d fair for the innocent oil pastels. Cos when done right can be real stunning. I guess the gist is art teachers should give more free range to students. There is no such thing as rules in art.

My first handmade tea cup!

Muahahaha..........

The tea cup that I made in Nara came today! I is super happy! Love it lots. Came at the perfect time too. Cos about a week ago, someone chipped my beloved Snoopy cup that I left to dry in the kitchen. (T_T) Was sad. But you know what they say, out with the old and in with the new!

Welcome new cup!
See its so leng. All shiny. The best part is cos I made the rim real wavy to resemble flower petals, its so unsymmetrical that when you rotate it slowly, it looks real different. It ended up not looking as much as a Lotus as I would have liked, but I could not mold the cup anymore than I did cos I made the cup too thick. On the whole, I think it turned out not bad. For my first try in pottery :D

I like this side best cos it looks like a maple leaf.

The pottery guy taught us this cool thing whereby you make an indention by applying pressure. I was so impressed that I made 3. Muahahaha...

See, see....you know what I mean by it looking different from different angles right!

Testing use my cup for the first time. No matcha in stock so used milo. Baru Malaysian mah. Hahaha.....Real happy that I made it thick now, cos the weight is perfect for a tea cup.

Imagine a cold dreary day, you`re back from sch, all cold and grumpy, cupping a warm cup that fits perfectly in your hands, you can feel the heat radiating into your frozen hands, ahhhh......

Now smell the aroma a bit, hmmmm......

Rotate the cup a bit to admired it. Then enjoy lah.

Nara Foreign Students Trip

Last weekend, went to Nara with foreign students from 4 kosen`s. Wakayama, Maizuru, Akashi and Nara kosen. We did many Nara-ish things....

Like making pottery.....

My first pottery pot !!! Happy! Excited to see the result. Gonna arrive in one month. Tanoshimi!

We went to see the otera otera, and had tea ceremony taiken.
We feed the deer shika-senbei and step on their shit.
And I did some not so Nara-ish things like making lots of new boyfren sementara!
Muahahaha.... I is so damn hiaw. ;D

Aftermath of typhoon

Saw real cool clouds yesterday while out on the bike. Stormy, moody, gloomy and far far away. The scene nearby was fresh and cooling after the rain. A blanket of silence buffers the humming of the engines. As the train shot through the background, all was a surreal world of floating colors.

When emotions run amok, I turn to the world of color and brushes. Something about it sucks you in, suspend time, stills the mind, and then you emerge back into the world, gazing at the paper in front of you and wondering what it all means.
Like the first one most. But, thought it was too plain so added more and more, and the end result sucks. Wished I had just stuck with the first one. So smart lah, ini akibat for not listening to chinese proverb " Adding feet to snake".

Gah, padahal know that my dry on wet technique sucks. Only my wet on wet is best. Look at the clouds la, Im always very happy with how my clouds turn out one. GAh... I know la, i know, have to practice more.

Hahaha.....today no sch cos of taifu no 18. Muahahaha....

Actually not directly hit by taifu, its just cos of danger cos by strong winds and such. Still muahahaha.......cannot believe that there is not sch, cos the taifu is far away edi. And the weather is like super windy and cloudy only.

Anyways, planning to be a good student and do work today. Hahaha....wanna do some 景観工学 - closes translation into english would be Landscape Engineering. Guess what our first assignment is? Its to pick a location that you think is beautiful, then Draw, I repeat DRAW a sketch or take a picture of the place, then do a presentation in class to explain why you think it is beautiful, or what can be done to improve the overall scenery. Isn`t it cool. A class all about protecting, planning, perfecting the landscape so its easy on the eyes. Sighhhhhhhh...... :D

This class is super entertaining. Cos the teacher, Mr Herbert is kinda funny in a lame way. He tries to make jokes and sometimes they work, but most times they fail, cos the Jps dun understand him. Hahaha.....and when he tries his best to speak Jpnese, its real funny. Granted he did improve ever so slightly within this 2 yrs. The relationship between the Jps and english and foreign ppl is so remarkable there are no words to describe it. Its something you have to experience to understand and I am so glad I have this wonderful chance to be here.

This is why I`ve been waiting patiently for so long for 5th yr to come; so there are all these cool classes to take. Muahahaha..... you know im so crazy i took ALL the electives just becos :D

First of all....take 3 and a half hours train to Onomichi Station in Hiroshima ken. Fufufu....not cheap oh.

Next.....take 1 hr ferry to Yuge jima.B`cos to bored.....

Finally sampai!!! Fufu.....now time makan!

Then i realised that the last time i ate Nasi Ayam was in PPKTJ (T_T)
then pandai2 announced it to ppl......Huhuhu.....its so sad they also tumpang kesian me O.O"

Nasi Ayam was SUPER the Sedap!!! The rice was fragrant, sup super sweet cos made of 7 chickens o.O , chicken nicely marinated and fried, chili hot! , nice fresh greens!! Heaven.
Super hot! One spoon is enough....can feel my stomach burning! Sigh....my daya ketahanan for chili memang very lousy one :(Air bangung......my third love after milo peng and sundrop :DDD

All in all. This yrs Raya is da best! Cos of lots of food, frens and fun times. Haha....learned lots bout cooking from helping em cook too. Kengness is the cooking. Cos we basicly prepare food, cook food, eat food, wash up.....rest a bit......then continue the cycle again for the next meal. Omo-omoness.......

After all the traveling, managed to get some art done. :D

Finally got the rabbit one done after neglecting it for almost a year. Heehee....it suppose to be like something you will find in a storybook for little children. Maybe should write a story to accompany it. Hmmm....

Then copied the witch one from "The Graveyard Book" by Neil Gaiman. The book is seriously not bad for one written by Gaiman. Normally I dun really enjoy his books that much. Its bout this boy thats raised by ghost in a graveyard. Heeheehee....the witch punya face a bit cacat, but over all very happy with the result. Gonna practice more shading with ink from now on :D

Kobe Biennale!! Held once every 2 years. Went to the one held in 2007 the container exhibition where artist display what they created in containers. Went to a Primary school nearby today to do presentation bout M`sia and play games and got this as one of the presents from the kids. Quite fun lor. Surprisingly. Daisy is the white West Highland Terrier (Westie).
ラーブis the Yorkshire Terrier (Yorkie).
They live at the hostel me and Boann were staying at. Super duper the cute. Just playing with them made the trip so worthwhile. We actually had a shitty time, cos cannot climb Fuji cos of the earthquake and taifu. Then the stupid Fujikyu was not that fun anyway. But we were all smiles after playing wif em. Haha...thats how easy we are.

Onsen, onsen! Very nice and relaxing. Lots of ppl came here after climbing Mt Fuji. So "smart" ah they all. Can dip in hot water to relax all those muscles and take a nap. Must make mental note to do this when I climb too.

This is so gross it deserves its own column. I got sunburned on my scalp after Summer Sonic and this is what fell out after the skin healed. The patch of skin is not that big la. It where I part my hair.Kena this before when i went to Redang last time la during PPKTJ. So gross but super cool right? Wanted to keep it actually. Heehee....abutthen Boann Ew-ed me so tak berjaya. Super cool and weird Sunfish. I mean, just look at it. Its just not how a normal fish looks like. And it even swims differently. Gosh, I really like weird stuff = Must take pic wif weird fish.

Feeding time. See the human diver is so small.
Whale shark, whale shark!! Very leng, majestic.....but kinda boring after a while. Keeps swimming around and around the tank. It must be bored to death. So kesian. No freedom.

Capybara is kinda cute. In a weird way. They make clipety clop noise when they walk. Like how I imagine horses to sound like when they walk. Problem is, I`ve never really heard horses walking on hard ground before.

First time see Japanese saru in action. Not bad.

Not bad. Syiok. Should go onsen whenever there is chance la. All the tiredness just melts away.This one can even be drunk. Taste like salty rust water. Haha....

Nice. But not that great. Hakodate is better.But the thing about nightview is that they are all the same anyway. Darkened sky, city lights. Looking out the window of a flying plane at night and seeing the gazillion stars and even the milky way without all the light pollution beats anything man made hands down. Do try it when you are flying at night next time. Just pray that its not cloudy.

This hols, I went to McD so many times, I cannot tahan edi. I hardly eat fast food anymore, and tiba-tiba all this......pengsan. McPork, Apple Pie I also beki I ate how many edi. Kau meng ah. I think im gonna swear it off for a year. But the Mint n Oreo McFlurry is nice lah. Maybe cos I like mint icecream so im buyest.

And the fun starts. After getting ready with black nails and full stomachs.

Sky stage: Where Katy Perry was suppose to perform. Got canceled :(

Ocean stage: Caught Dragonash, Paramore, Nine inch nails.

Lack of photos due to the heat, sweat, exhaustion......and cos I was waiting for MCR to start. And finally at 7.45 baru start.

It went freakin crazy man!!! Cos we were up front, like seriously front center and when they started playing, everything erupted in utter chaos. Seriously madness. Everyone was jumping around like mad, crushing and pushing others to get closer to the stage. The sweat, the heat from pulsating bodies, the deep throbbing of the music. Kengness! Then it started to go downhill. I was getting crushed, I thought I lost my bag and when grobbing for it, my specs got crushed, my hair was in a mess.....One word, crazy. Spending all that energy to fight ppl off, cannot enjoy the music la......so we retreated from the mosh pit.

Just a bit further away, and the scene is so much better-less crazy. So I took pics :D (Actually cannot one hor-copyright and stuff. Muahahaha....I don`t care)

They seriously rocked the place man. And Gerard really knows how to get the crowd going. Ahhh......I is love. Been listening to their songs for ages. Accompanying me through emo days, brain crunching study periods or when I was just plain mad. Listening to them live is so different man. Super duper syiok. I think I fell in love with em all over again, if that is even possible.

After the show. We are stinky, sweaty, tired but definitely happy campers. It worth every single damn Yen spend. This is one experience I will not forget in a hurry.

I am seriously ok folks. Dun worry bout me. I am still emotionally balance, healthy and normal. Just cos of the blue or emotionally charged post I`ve been churning out, it does not mean that im too stressed or anything.

I am actually using blogging as a way to release my pent up emotions and tension so I can concentrate on finishing my mountain of school work and all the study and doing past year papers. So by reading that only and not knowing the other side, it seems that lots of ppl are worrid bout my well being. Heehee.....sorry lah, for making you all worry. Im ok one. :D

People who poke their noses into other ppls business. Think they are so fucking right because of what they can see and discern when that is actually just a small part of the spectrum.

People who have such narrow thinking, they can only see what is in front of their noses.

People who only care of themselves and what they can get from others. Downright selfish and its so ugly.

People who only care about their outer appearance. Fawn and do drastic stuff to themselves all in the spirit of appearing good to others. Sure its important to a certain extend, but its not everything.

See no evil, hear no evil.

If only its easier done then said. I don`t need another distraction in my already cluttered mind. Need to learn to control my train of thoughts better.

Another thing, have you ever heard that what you hate most in others is usually found in yourself. Man, that`s scary. I shudder at the thought of committing all those mentioned above.

This should be a post that has been posted long long ago. But I never got around to doing it.

No man is an island.

I bet you`ve heard of this before. When I heard of this last time, I poohed and pahhed. I know we humans are social creatures but, we can choose not to be right? With our amazing brain, with all those thoughts running through, surely we don`t need others.

Well, here`s the result of the experiment on lab rat No. 1, nicknamed Joyce.

Negative.

There is no way no how anyone can live a life without any human contact, or lack of it.
We all need other people. We need to talk, communicate, socialise with others. If not we just don`t function properly, get into moods, think too much. Generally, dissapearing into a little world we create for ourselves.

Today I had a long conversation with lab rat No. 2. I guess everyone falls into this experiment somehow or another. I hope rattie 2 gets on well and resolves it faster than me. All the best! :D

I know its hard. All those conversations with the mousies. They are just so different from us ratties, you know. We all speak the rodent language, but boy is the insides different. We talk bout running wild in drains and sewage, they talk bout cozy homes tucked with straw. We talk bout discovering new frontiers and hidden jewels. They talk bout the lattest cheese invented. Sometimes we worry that our crass behaviour might offend the mousies, scare them off. But you know what, I as rattie No. 1 says that it really doesn`t. Maybe the mousies aren`t made of such soft stuffings after all, huh.

So to all the ratties out there, just be your rattie self. It will all work out well. Trust me :D

Decisions

Today...

I made a decision. Im gonna go for what I`ve been wanting to do for a long long time. I just never got down to doing it cos of fear of the unknown, fear of failing what is nearest and dearest, what if Im not good enough? The steps to take were small but looked huge, like braving an ocean, a thousand leagues. That was all I thought of while whining and complaining to people who were willing to listen to my rants. While deep down, I always knew that I had to put that step forward in the direction that I wanted to go and let the wind steer my way.

I believe that if you want to and are on the path you were meant to take, all the universe will conspire with you to help you achieve what was meant for you. Your true calling, your reason for being.

Maybe this is what I was meant to do. Maybe not. I don`t know. But for now, it feels right and I shall. It is amazing that in just a span of a few hours, I`ve made up my mind and have already set things in motion. Im amazed at it all. Amazed at what one can accomplish when your mind is ready for it.

I have never felt so alive and in charge of my direction since...since for so long...so long that I no longer remember. So lets just hope it all goes well. If not, I know that I`ve tried. Maybe it was never meant to be then.

But for now, I strive.

Judgment.

I profess, I`ve been guilty of it, in fact, I still am. Try as I may to eradicate this disease of my unworthy self, its not one of those things that disappears at will. It was too late for me, when I discovered the vile and evil side to it, it had already spread and implanted itself securely into the deepest crevices of my mind. Try as I may, the little devil still lurks and creeps around, forever looking for a chance to strike.

I was once asked by a friend and fellow confidant, "How do you know it is all true?" That time I cockily and confidently said, I just do. Oh, what a naive and pompous fool I was. Nothing is ever what you think it is. There are so many faces to a story, so many sides to the truth.

So as you see, I fully understand how incredibly hard it is to not pass judgment. I am guilty as charged. But, where would we be without it. How do we know right from wrong? The question my dear readers would be what you are using it for. For discerning good from bad? or for more carnal ego feeding needs?

Really, I know I am in no position to criticize other unfortunate souls. But its just so damn irritating to have self righteous people breathing down your neck. There is something called freedom of choice and right to live. Look it up. Can`t you just keep your opinions to yourselves? Is it really worth its weight in gold?

In essence, I am sick of it, of all the psychological warfare we play. Forget about the war zone, there is another more mental war right in your own backyard, well, in your own mind that is. But with all that`s said, it can simply be canceled out with a "Its all in your mind, you think too much."

Is it really?

All in the state of mind.

All you have to do is keep a positive mind track and all will be happy. Isn`t that called deliberately deceiving oneself?

Maybe its all about being open. Open to diversity. Diversity of ideas, beliefs, choices, understanding.

Life isn`t perfect. It never is. You just gotta make the best of it.

Im back. After a very long absence from blogging. Muahahaha....

The thing is, when you are enjoying life, living every moment of it, really living, you don`t even think of blogging.

Yep. Its the sad truth. Ppl who blog, constantly,well most of them, don`t really have a life. Ahem, I think I just offended lots of ppl out there. Well what the heck, I blog too right. :P

Neways, just wanna say Im back and will be popping stuff up once in a while or when I feel like it.

Holidays were great, a blast, I went back then to HK, Macau and China. Learnt lots, experience lots, met really interesting ppl along the way too. Made my eyes open up to all the possibilities, the endless what ifs and the diversity of the world. It just goes to show how staying on a small island can pull wool over your eyes. Can`t stand how I always forget the pull of all things foreign and new before long after being barricaded in here.

And im being evil, cos i rather not post up stuff bout ze trip. Muahaha....im keeping it all to myself. :P

So now its all back to sch and study study and do do do..... Subjects this year are way better. Yippee!! Interesting but, lots of info to stuff in when exams roll around. Gosh, I real hope I can muck and get it all done for uni exams. Fingers crossed.

Sakuras are still in bloom here. Who ever said they are delicate, the ones this yr are damn hardy. Went for my 3rd hanami alone. Haha.... made bento and cycled along to this park nearby with lots of sakuras in full bloom. Total gorgeousness. And there were lots of like-minded Japs around, so it was kinda crowded. But you know what???

I found that the key to proper enjoyment of Hanami is actually, to sit down quietly and observe those wonderfull falling petals. Like its namesake "Hana(flower)-mi(see)".

How many times have you gone to Hanami and came back with no memory of it but of some pink cloud like haze above your heads. Thats why the longer you stay here, you start to get sick of it. All those big crowded picnics are to blame. Everyone just look, then start to grab food, or talk to ppl, no one ever SEEs anymore.

If its still blooming at your place, do try it out. Look and really SEE. :D Don`t get to jaded wif old age now :P

I Lap IKEA!!!

And I shall say it again! I lap IKEA!
Why? Oh, only just because they have the best service around, not to mention the affordable, simple yet stylish designs. And the fact that the designs are easily fixed up, no wrestle and hassle with complicated manuals, and they work really well. And the showrooms are GREAT! I just love spending time there to soak it up and get ideas. You can see all the work and thought gone into producing all this stuff and its so inspiring. Been to IKEA`s in Singapore, Malaysia and Japan to date and I`ve got to say. I enjoyed it every single time. Gosh, I know. I sound so infatuated. Well what to do? I give praise when its deserved. :D

Before I bore you any further. Let`s hop on the free shuttle service to IKEA. You can just tell there will be oodles of pictures coming up huh? :P
When we first got there and got gobsmacked with the awesome showrooms, I tell you, my eyes was blurring cos it could not keep up with the sights in front of me. Haha...... just had to soak it up and let it all sink in. I could tell, MayC was blurring too. Haha..... cos she did not speak to me for a long time and kept touching stuff, sitting down on sofas and pottering about. But all that was before we went

So after reality sunk in, the first pic.
Oh, this I really like. Wall to wall, filled with nothing but books! And since just normal shelfs alone are so boring and last century, add cupboards, lighting, some deco, and don`t forget the amazing can die for ladder on the left handside, and you get a really nice reading room. Oh wait, I forgot, a nice and cosy armchair, reading light, coffeetable and carpet. Gosh, I think I just found the perfect design for my dream reading room. *Swoons*
Another mirror, and darling MayC could not resist.
This room did not get made up that nice. But check out the cool torch flame lighting. So totally cool for a castle themed bedroom. And the candy striped armchair`s cool too. and the battlements on the wall is just divine. I was thinking, throw away the ulgy placemat under the torch and replace wif a cool parchment of a castle map. Have a dark green or blue shade for the bedspread with golden tassles if possible. Add a crocodile carpet and a joker pillow to the armchair. Don`t know why, but all these just came to mind. :D
This is another cool thing. Can you figure out what it is? Hehe....this can possibly solve all your laundry problems. And we have reached the toy section. MayC persuaded me to camwhore with the crocodile.And I avenged myself right back. Although, I think she rather enjoyed it. :PPP Now its time for our lunch break. While studying, Im playing Rihanna`s Disturbia like a deranged lunatic. Humming it along even in classes. Man, its crazy to have a song stuck i ze head.
And so zun now she`s all over the news. No, not cos of her amazing GUCCI ad, cos it seems like she got beaten up by her idiot bf. Man, if there`s one thing i hate, loaf, detest the most is guys hitting girls. There is no reason big enough for a guy to lay a hand on a woman, ever.

Influenza is taking me school by storm. More accurately, my ryo. Every single day, i hear announcements to wash hand and stuff. But boys block only lah. Thankfully we girls are free of the bug. Poor Kim is one of the unfortunate ones. He`s in an isolation room and all. Muahahaha......kidding kidding. Hope he gets better soon lah. Low humidity has activated the bugs, people, do take care and take the necessary precautions.

Back from Ski trip!

Had Kosen ski trip last weekend. This time with tutors too.
Super syiok I tell you.
First day mizore, wet kau kau. My handphone almost died on me cos masuk water.
The Mizore was damn evil, beat down on our face like mad. Was wishing for terrorist face mask as protection againts the evil ice bullets.
Second day, FINALLY......SNOW!!!
YES to powdered snow!
Super nice to board. Cos it goes carak,carak like that.....its like music to my ears. :D

Not to mention the nice scenery. Damn leng can.
Almost regret not goin to the PPKTJ ski trip. Cos can board more mah. But just an almost, Muahahaha..........

But now......whole body aching.
Can feel all my muscles telling me to pity them and stick some salonplast on.
Should I be nice? Or torture them some more?
Have taken a liking to the pain. Kekekekeke.....

Too much work going on these past weeks.
Reports, Sekkei, and little kadai`s all jumbled up.
Minus schooling hours and there`s only about 7hrs left till bed time on a weekday.
Cook, eat, washup, bath, wash baju, general pottering about cleaning, take away 2 hours.
Left with 5 hrs to do work.
But is it possible to use up every minute of it doing work?
Inevitably, I would succumb to on9 surfing, reading my latest book or stg.
But is that bad?
I can`t be expected to do work 24/7 right?
Humans need recreation too!
What more CNY!

Next day, fail mati-matian. Got this teacher who`s retiring right so had a last lecture. In AVA room, you know, heater on, nice and cosy, room is darkened for presentation, teacher drooning on and on and on......before I know it conked till almost the end. First time in my life. I conked so bad! And its a last lecture for this teacher who has taught for 38 yrs. Fail man me.
So how?
Duh, cannot cut sleep la dude.
Make proper use of your 4 hrs.
Helloooo, there`s something called a weekend.
Weekend? Weekend?
I`ll tell you bout weekends.
Weekends are usually filled up wif stuff that either:
A. Im forced to go.
B. I dun wanna go, but if I don`t it won`t look good. You know la.
C. Im gently nudged, pushed, cajoled into going.
D. Me conking out in bed.
E. Ok la, occasionaly there`s stuff I wanna go to one la.

Korea Trip - Intro

The fateful trip to Korea to celebrate the holidays began on Dis 23rd. Touchdown was around evening so we only arrived at the hostel around 9pm! This means we actually only have 5 days in Seoul, cos we depart on the 29th. Is there enough time to checkout the sights, eat all the yummy food and shop till our hearts content?

Of course! Checkout members in action at various location for a preview of wat we did in Korea.
Total members 12. 10 girls and 2 boys. Forsee lots of shopping going on...

1) We watched Nanta. Super cool show. Its so different, words cannot describe it. Closes would be Korean Broadway with lots of cooking involved. Super funny. It made me laugh so much, my stomach ached.

2) We went to palace. See I found a lotus.

3)We ate a LOT. Many different kinds of things, at all places imaginable.

Eventful 2008

2008 went by so fast. When did time fly by so fast? But the more I think about it, it sure feels like a year have past. Looking back, I sure did a lot of things in 2008. I wonder how 2009 will be be like?

Last years new year was a merry one. Meeting up wif frens and going fukubukuro hunting after the Ski trip. This yrs one is a bit sad. With me and MayC cooped up in the room, counting down for the new year.

Ski trip with Kosen ppl. Not as fun as wif the ex-PPKTJ-nians, but its free :D This new yrs one, we will have tutors coming as well. Interesting......will be keeping a watchful eye out.Went back to M`sia. Oh, my beloved Malaysia. I lap U so berry much. Will be seeing you soon. :DDDDD

Hanami in Banpakukouen. Sakura flowers losing its appeal on me. :( Oh no!
Went to stay wif my host family. Very nice experience. Really felt like I finally got to know her better.Internship. Very good experience as well.
Summer hols trip wif MayC to Tokyo,Hokkaido and Amanohashidate. Fell in love with Furano. Super beautiful.
Wakasawan trip wif Kansai Kosen ppl.
Bringing me beloved sister around Japan.
Hari Raya in Japan.

Korea trip. Super huge blast. Really fun. Overdosed on Shopping and Eating. Currently sick from over doing it :D. So im lying low this new yr. Kekeke.....

So what about my New Years resolution? I seriously want to be a better student and person. Feels like there is much much more room for improvement there. On a vain note, I wanna take better care of my skin. No more pimples *fingers crossed* and I gotta go exercise more too. Hehe...

Was flipping through my folder of pictures for fun and I stumbled upon this one that has not been opened in awhile. Its filled with PPKTJ pictures that I got from ppl, cos poor me did not own a camera back then. Haha.....

Super natsukashi man. Looking at all the pictures and remembering all the events that happened those two years in PPKTJ. I think I can safely say that those two years were one of the best periods in my life to date. There was so much fun, drama, gossip, activities, studies..etc etc. All going on, spinning and twirling, interlocking, kinda messed up sometimes, but it was great fun.

Kinda miss those days. But all good things must come to an end. And its just life; how we grow up and move onto another stage in our respective lives. But it was great. What we all had back then. We still have it now actually. Cos it lives on in our hearts and memories.

So take a stroll with me down memory lane.

海王丸 aka Chin Leong`s ship

Been meaning to do a post on　海王丸(Kaiwo Maru) since we paid a visit to it last month under our host Chin Leong. Visitation rights to the ship docked in Kobe this time was closed to the public, but with our great "connections" we managed to get in and have a grand tour of the ship. This uber cool ship was built to train future seamen and it runs on wind and engine power. All the better so they have more to learn. From a distance, this ship is a magnificent sight to behold. Its so grandly piratey, I kept thinking Pirates of the Caribbean...Pirates of the Caribbean. Im visiting the Black Pearl. Hahaha.....but its white and made of steel. Sigh, one can keep on dreaming right.

It even has a figure head and all. Double cool. All ships that run on wind power do. They believe that it protects the ship. This one is glided in GOLD! Aren`t they afraid that someone might try to scrape some off? Sigh, so leng.This is Chin Leong and his beloved ship. *peace*Does anyone recognise this? Yes...yes .....yes.....no? Is the thingy they crank up to call the Kraken in Davey Jones ship. :D But in real life this thing has a more boring abeit important use, its use to roll up the ropes used when the ship is in full sail. Cos man power cannot compare to those elements out at sea. Muahahaha.This ship has not one but two steering wheels. If im not mistaken one full turn will make the ship turn one degree. The thingy below is to keep the ropes in place. The darker one is made of a type of super hardwood that is extinct edi, magnus something, my memory fails me. :PAll those ropes are connected to the mast and sails, and seeing no tags in place, i asked Chin Leong how they know which rope goes where. Apparently they have to memorize it. Fuyoh, and I thought memorizing for exams were bad enough. Dining area where they eat. Very nice and clean.Kitchen where the cooks whip up yummy(according to Chin Leong) and delicious dishes. So delicious in fact that he skipped dinner wif us to dine in the ship. -_-Classroom. Very neat again. Almost too neat. Feels a bit like the army.MayChing can never miss a change to indulge in her favourite activity-Camwhoring. Vincent happily joined in. :P And we introduced Chin Leong to it too, who after months out at sea, is losing touch wif our land antics.At the bridge, trying to disturb Chin Leong by asking him multiple questions about the flags stored in the shelf on the upper right hand of the pic. I dunno why my face looks like that -_-"Seafaring charts. *gasp* How cool is that. Had a short demo by Chin Leong. Its amazing how they transfer all that into directing the ships course.Dinner in a Vietnamese restaurant. Chin Leong came to "pei" us. The food was really good, and the waiter a bit too over enthusiastic. Very friendly, with lots of smiles and hand gestures, asks lots of questions.......*sweat* He even remembers me from last time, which was last year. 0.o!!! Seriously, its an experience on its own. So thats that, and Chin Leong is out and away at sea, should be in Hawaii now. Lucky fella. Thanks a lot for showing us you ship! :D Twas very educational and interesting.

Long time no see.
I`ve been neglecting my blog for almost 2-3 weeks now. Haha.....
First it was a test to see how long i can fend of the temptation. Then I got too good for my own good and have not been posting things up. :P
The feeling is simply not there. Just like how i pushed away the shopping bug. haha...
oh well, im back now.
Will post proper stuff up within the week.

Just wanna say something i learned this past weeks. That : If you put your mind to it, anything can be accomplished. Just push away all the unwanted thoughts, wants, emotions. U can end up highly effective indeed. Im just skeptical about how all this affects the emotional side of a human though. If you are still in the dark, Im finally reading the 7 habits of highly effective people and trying to apply it. Im only doing habit 1 and already skeptical. Oh well, time will tell.

Hari ini aku rasa aku dah makin tua. Benar tu, tak tipu. Memang pun dah fikir macam ni buat suatu masa dah, tapi, hari ni macam.....woooo.......boleh menyalurkan perasaan tu dalam patah perkataan dan fikiran yang lebih konkrit. Serious, boleh merasai perubahan ini dalam pelbagai aspek.

Sebagai contoh:

1) Aku mudah lupa....benda-benda kecik je la. Tapi ini simptom awal kan.
2)Mula dgr lagu classical dan Bahasa Perancis. Wah, teruk ni, last time dgr pun nak muntah.
3)Berfikir ttg issue global dan peranan ku sbg warga dunia ini.
4)Pemikiran terhadap pakaian mula berubah.
5)Membaca buku issue mendalam. Fiksyen dah mula berkurangan.
......dll

Kan, kan, aku dah cakap pun. Tak tipu. Sekarang dalam prosess menerima perubahan ni. Tapi aku tak rasa ini perkara buruk. Ia cuma menambahkan lagi suatu facet baru dalam diriku yang unik ini. Hahaha.....perasannya aku.

Ok. Sekarang aku ubah topik. Hari ni masuk speech. Tak menang la, dapat consolation je. Tapi kan, aku rasa sangat puas kalah. Tahu kenapa? Krn pemenang-pemenang speech tu sangatlah bagus. Serious, aku kurang memberi komen yg bagus kat org, tapi serious, mereka patut menang. Isi kandungan dan cara penyampaian mereka membolehkan mesej yg ingin disampaikan masuk kedalam hati dan benak para penonton. Aku yang serba kekurangan dgn isi yg pelik dan latihan yang tak cukup, mendapat pengajaran yang hebat hari ini. Aku akui, diriku masih jauh dari sempurna. Maka, aku akan mengukuhkan tekat untuk makin berusaha. Dalam apa-apa pun, aku mesti tabah.

Ok, dah habis cakap olehan kosong ttg diriku ini, hahaha.....kamu betul-betul habis baca sampai sini? Nampaknya minat juga kamu kat diriku yg serba kecik ini. :P Terima kasih je lah. 有时候觉得身边的人太冷了.可是有时又觉得他们没这么坏.可能我想太多了.可能他们有困难,或有不快乐的事发身在身上.可能....可能.....这世界上有太多可能发生的东西了.

像便回开朗的我. 便回把大事变小事,小事便无事的我.便回比看到人家的弱点先看到他们的优点的我. 可能我老了. 身上发生太多事了. 便懂事了.可能这是好事, 人是应该变的吗,不可能一身都一样不变的吗.

好的好的. 我不想太多,把事处理得好, 那样就好了.但是说是容易,要做就没这么容易啊. 加油...加油... 每天都说这句话, 有时都说到不要说了.
